- Develop a good sense of rhythm
- Dance the fundamental Kathak movements
- Basic footwork in 3 speeds on rhythm
- Give Teentaal on hands and recite the basic 3 speeds and basic compositions in it
- Dance two basic Todas on the Teentaal rhythm
- Develop a basic sense of expressions and perform a Ganesh vandana
