About The Course
If your child has been learning the violin for over six months and has mastered the foundational skills, the Gandharva Violin Method Book 1 course is the ideal next step. This program introduces various bowing techniques to help students become comfortable with every part of the bow.
Students will explore playing different melodies, ornamentations, and more. The course emphasizes expanding their repertoire by learning pieces from renowned composers such as Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Handel, and others. It’s a fantastic opportunity to elevate their violin skills to the next level!
Prerequisites
- Ideal age of student - 9-10 years
- Student must have their own Violin, so that they can practice and hone their skills
- Student should have a sound understanding of the Foundation level techniques

- Posture and fingers
- 2 Octave Arpeggio
- Bowing Exercises and Techniques
- Articulation and Dynamics
- Ornamentation
- Pieces by different Composers

- Execute two octave arpeggios
- Showcase different dynamics, articulations, martele and string crossing
- Play triplets and 16th notes subdivision
