About The Course
Has your child been practicing Bharathanatyam for over a year? If so, it’s time to advance to the Gandharva Bharathanatyam Intermediate Grade.
In this course, students will refine their form, study intricate rhythms, enhance poses and posture, and master the aesthetics of the dance. They will also learn three new choreographed pieces and delve into advanced theory, including the application of viniyoga hastas.
Prerequisites
- 2+ year of dancing experience or completed the Intermediate Grade
- Interest and motivation to dance because this grade is highly challenging

- Kudittumettu Adavu
- Egarmettu Adavu
- Tattumettu adavu in Panchanadai
- Drishti Bheda or eye movements and Pataka Hasta Viniyoga
- Advanced poses
- Three new dances
Learning Outcomes You Can Expect
- Dance three items - on Krishna, on Lord Vishnu and on Lord Shiva
- Recite, dance and demonstrate all the adavus - Paraval, Kuditumettu, Pakka and Tattumettu in Panchanadai
- Demonstrate Drishti bheda and Pataka Hasta Viniyoga
- Do advanced poses according to individual ability honoring their own body
- Be prepared to clear to Grade 1 exam of ISTD, London
