If your child has been learning the Tabla for over six months and has mastered the foundational level, the Gandharva Tabla Method Book 1 course is the ideal next step.
In this program, they’ll delve into more complex rhythms, enhance their coordination, and deepen their musical understanding. They’ll explore contemporary and folk rhythms while honing their ability to synchronize notes across both tablas, enabling them to perform a wide range of pieces.

Prerequisites
- Ideal age of student - 8 years or above
- Interest in music and learning the instrument + willingness to practice regularly
- Student must have their own Tabla, so that they can practice and hone their skills
Topics Covered
- Basic Kaydas in Teentaal
- Posture and fingers
- Concept of Tihas and basic application
- Concept of Dugun, Tigun
- Basic Dadra, Keherwa Cycles and Recitation
- History of Tabla and life of famous Tabla players
Learning Outcomes You Can Expect
- Demonstrate 10 basic kayda’s in Teentaal
- Recite rhythms in Digun and Tigun
- Play basic rhythms in Dadra or Keherwa
- Play a few compositions along with Lehera
